P201 Compatible Rotary Encoders

Protura can supply Renishaw Magnetic Rotary Encoder products (incremental or absolute variants) paired with the P201 USB Encoder Interface.

These encoders can be plugged directly into the P201 USB Encoder Interface. This in-line interface effectively creates a USB encoder.

The Renishaw range includes both non-contact / frictionless and bearing(shafted) versions of miniature magnetic encoders with resolutions from 8-bit (256 counts per revolution) to 13-bit (8,192 counts per revolution).

The novel non-contact design provides reliable long-term operation by eliminating the need for seals or bearings, whilst operational speeds of over 30,000 rpm can be achieved with measurement accuracy to 0.2°. For harsh environments, compact versions are also available with sealing to IP68.
